    Unilateral system
    Unilateral clipless pedals are only equipped with an adapter system on one side and can only be used with suitable cycling shoes. Some hybrid pedals have an adapter system on one side and a traditional pedal cage on the other. They can be used with both special cycling shoes and traditional shoes.

    Cartridge bearings
    Cartridge bearings are the most used bearings for bikes today. All necessary ball bearings are inserted, adjusted and pressed into a so-called cartridge by the manufacturers. This way the bearings are well protected from dust and dirt and no longer have to be adjusted during assembly. They do not require any maintenance.
